Goat-Milking Experience
Are you looking for a fun and different activity for your family, or to take your honey on a unique date, or to learn a new and useful skill? If so, the goat-milking experience at Moses Mill Farm is for you! Come visit the farm for an authentic, hands-on experience milking a goat. Guests will learn about goat husbandry, milking techniques, tools and equipment. Morning and evening time slots are available during the milking season, which typically runs summer to fall. You will need sturdy, closed-toe shoes that can handle mud and manure.

Mill Ruins Tour
Venture through the pasture and down through the woods to Cherrystone Creek, where F.L. Moses & Bros. Mill sat from 1854 until it washed away in a flood in 1944. Remnants of the dam are still visible, and the concrete boiler stack—a vestige of the mill’s conversion to steam—lies prone along the banks of the Cherrystone. On this beautiful and rigorous hike, you will learn about the history of the mill and the family for whom the farm is named. You will need sturdy, closed-toe shoes that can handle rough terrain.
